Apparently Karl Lagerfeld is going to be in the new Grand Theft Auto game, this is not a joke. How more bizzare can it get??

Here is the dish:
Karl with his f*cking fan will play a DJ on one of the game's radio stations. According to reports, Lagerfeld picked his favorite electronica and dance music and peppered the selection with some of his rapid-fire commentary.

"They (the video game guys) had written a politically incorrect dialogue," the designer said. "I loved it, [particularly] in a time when everybody wants to be so politically correct when they talk." It was a breeze for Lagerfeld to put together a play list. Lagerfeld says, "Music is part of the life of fashion, too. Through the famous sound stylist Michel Gaubert, I’m very much ‘au courant’ and know what’s going on.'"

A Pick Me Up

I was already annoyed due to the disappointing news from my advisor and if that was not enough some other events have occurred today that have inflamed my already ticked off state. The reason for this I will discuss at another time, but for now I need a little energy boost. So, to pick up my spirits I turned to good ole' Liza. I've just really recently discovered the astounding talent that is Liza "Giving You All That I Got" Minnelli thanks in large part due to her hilarious guest spot on Arrested Development. When I finally saw Cabaret I was hooked and finally plugged myself into the electrifying Minnelli. So, for today, she is the perfect pick me up. Enjoy these clips they really helped cheer me up and gave me day a little touch of fab that is so desperately needed.

9am & Already Annoyed

As I have mentioned in a previous blog, registration for the fall is this week. Now I heard from a few people within the Art History department both from Professor and Student that normally advisers with in my discipline will let a student us a foreign language to fulfill the VP&A requirement that we need.

Since, I am already taking French in the fall for my LP (Language Perspective) I thought I could kill two birds with one stone by also knocking out another requirement for my major. I e-mailed my advisor and mentioned the info I had heard and asked if this was possible. So, I check my e-mail this morning and I get my adviser's reply and it was a big FAT NO. How annoyed am I right now, especially considering the fact that a fellow classmate of mine is using his LP as a VP&A requirement. I guess it all has to do with who your advisor is. I just find it so annoying considering I really don't have a lot of time here at Clark to get every thing done and I would rather just focus on my Art History courses since that is what I mean here for and whatever "short cuts" I can take are a huge help.

Whatever, this is just a rant. Man I wish I had a cell phone to throw at someone's head.

Shave and a Hair Cut

Today I had a hair appointment and with a birthday looming I felt like it was time for a change. I informed my "hair-stylist" Christian that I needed something drastically different then the style I had been exhibiting for the last few years. He gave me a look that was all "I know what you need girl" and started snipping away.

It is exhilarating and a little scary when you change your appearance. This was the first time in a while that I had been really excited over a hair cut and felt compelled to record the event with an impromptu photo shoot. The cut is like a mixture of Shane from the L word and Christian from Project Runway, anyway I love it and that is all that matters.

Speaking of Project Runway, how ugly is it that Project Runway is moving from Bravo to Lifetime? I guess I won't be watching the show any more, because I will be damned if you catch me watching Lifetime: Television for Women.

Anyway, so I just got back from having dinner with my favorite go-to Lesbian friends, Amy and Marsha. We had dinner at Moe's and discussed babies and Vermont. Well, I'm going to numb myself with some television. Salut :)

The Fierceness that is Naomi

The beautiful and dangerous Naomi Campbell has been all over perezhilton.com and various media outlets due to her recent removal from a British Airways flight. I know after the whole maid beating incident most people have been hating on poor Naomi. I am not one of those people. In fact, it is what makes me love her!!!

It seems that the more bad behavior that the Supermodel exhibits the more I find myself becoming a devotee to the cult of Campbell. The simple fact is, the bitch is fierce and if Naomi chucks a cell phone at your head, you probably had it coming anyway.

I think this reaction to Ms. Naomi is trigged from a gene that most gay men are born with. This gene when triggered causes gay men to swoon in exacsty and brings out pure devotion to any women that may just have an anger management issue, but which we would classify as a Diva (notable examples: Madonna or Joan Collins). Naomi for me is like one of those grand divas from Dynasty, she is the black Alexis Carrington. So, here is my advise to you Ms. Campbell, keep serving up the fierce and I will be obligated to build you a temple for you to be worshipped and exaclted.

When Mikes Away...

Michael has flown the coop so to speak. He left yesterday for Florida to visit with his Mom and Grandmother and is returning on Friday. So, right now I am all by my lonesome. Thankfully, I have enough going on at the moment to keep me occupied until he returns.

I got through my presentation on Degas successfully last week even with cotton mouth. I received some good feed back from my Professor and fellow students so I think polishing up the paper should be a snap. With that out of the way, I'm finally going to start working on my Caravaggio research paper, which I have a presentation due on the 21st of this month.

Today, was my day to register for class for the fall. So, I got to Clark early to make sure I get the courses I need. Only to find out that my advisor had failed to remove the hold on my account. Hopefully she will take care of the problem soon and I will be all set to register this Friday. The classes I am planning on taking next semester are; Classical Myth in Art, The Age of Michelangelo, Modern Dance, and French 103.

The French class has me a little worried. I have no real background in the language, but I do have some Spanish under my belt, so that will probably come in handy. Plus, I downloaded a bunch of podcasts that teach you French for free. Well, I am off to finish my reading on Picasso and the Avant-Garde for my Topics in Modern Art class.

This girl is amazing! Michael is hooked on this song "Bleeding Love", which I think is funny, considering when I first played it for him back in November he didn't really care for it. Anyway, I love this song and the video is pretty stylish. This is the UK version of the video, which in my opinion is superior to the video that has been released here in the States. She is beautiful, amazingly talented, and will so give divas like Mariah and Whitney a run for their money. I downloaded a bunch of her tracks when it was released last year in the UK, but I am looking forward to her album Spirit when it is released in the states on the 8th. Enjoy :)
